Introduction	In 2000, I was affected by a particularly aggressive form of glaucoma. Since then, my eyesight has deteriorated so that I am now registered blind and can only see shapes and colours. Before I developed glaucoma, I had led a full and active life. I had a successful career in the Arts, where I worked internationally both in the private and charity sectors. As my disability means I cannot work, I am a beneficiary of Elizabeth Finn Care, a UK direct grant-giving charity. Elizabeth Finn Care asked me to write a blog to discuss the day-to-day trials of living with a disability. This is my blog.
