Introduction I was born in Burbank, California in 1950. I was raised in southern California and southwestern Arizona, sometimes living in parts of the midwest and in Bethesda, Maryland. I attended a small private school in downtown Hollywood, on Franklin Ave. and Highland. All the children were expected to write a hundred word composition every day and study a foreign language. I received one semester's creative writing credit for publishing my collection of poetry 1963-1967 by Artisen Press in Ashland, Oregon 1968. I graduated Coronado High School, Arizona in 1969 and attended S.O.C. Ashland, Oregon. I am currently working on an epic poem about the Lewis and Clark expedition and living in and around Portland, Oregon.
