| Introduction | A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants, UK with over 25 years of work experience. He holds a MS in Accounting (James Madison, USA) M Applied Finance and an MBA (both from Queensland University of Technology, Australia). He was formerly the Chief Operating Officer of Asian Hotels and Properties Ltd., and the Founder General Manager of the Bureau for Infrastructure Investment which managed private investment in public infrastructure in Sri Lanka. In the early nineties he managed a US Government project to assist privatization and develop the Stock Exchange and the Securities Commission. In that capacity he designed and managed the program to modernize and automate the Colombo Stock Exchange. Currently he is the Chairman / Managing Director of Asia Capital PLC, a financial house engaged in stock broking, investment banking, insurance, leasing and finance and commodity broking;since september 2012 he is the full time chairman/director of Asia Asset finance PLC. |
