Introduction | Hi,I'm Alicia and I have recently completed my foundation degree in dance at London Metropolitan University. I would say I'm lucky as I became one of the few to be used as guinea pigs for the first course of its kind to explore the fusion of Ballet, Contemporary and African Caribbean Dance. I have come away from my degree with a passion to bring dance of the African Diaspora into mainstream learning. I have also been establishing myself as a Dance Teacher within the community over the last few years. I teach (mainly Street Dance) within local schools, youth clubs, community projects and dance companies but the one thing I want more than anything, is to open my own. I know I still have a lot to learn, in terms of technique, background knowledge, choreography, teaching and Business skills in order to make me the best I can be but I'm looking forward to sharing my journey with you guys and excepting everything life has to offer! |
