If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
If I were a pirate, I would not only say "poop deck", but I would also refer to treasure as booty. I wouldn't laugh, because I would begin each phrase with a nice gutteral, "arrr!" and end each with "matey". Also, I'd have a wooden leg and eye patch, so that would make me a little more somber.
