Introduction	Hi! I am just Your "Average" American Chef. I don't claim to be a writer (in fact I am horrible at it) and I have had no formal training in the kitchen (I am self taught). However when I lost my job and began trying to come up with creative dishes that were tasteful and would save me money, I posted them on Facebook, and my friends told me I should start blogging them. REALLY!? Their argument was that if I needed good economical dishes...so would others. After weeks of pondering this idea (because I knew I would be embarrassed) I decided to bite the bullet. So hear I am. When I say "average" I mean I am just your average wife and mother trying to cook time efficient, cost effective and (maybe not always) healthy meals for my family. WARNING: These are dishes my family and I have enjoyed. Not everyone will like them and that is to be expected. Some of my dishes include taking parts of recipes and combining them into one while others are "made up". (There is a lot of trial and error, believe me!) Take and do what you will with them. Maybe you will elaborate on them!
