| Introduction | We are a new, independent theatre company currently in development based in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Joe Hendren (TheatreX Founder, Artistic Director, and Producer) is a freelance Writer, Director, Actor, Producer, and Theatre Artist. Joe grew up in Columbia Heights and went on to study Theatre Arts at the University of MN and Hamline University. Since then, he has worked extensively with local theatres and has won several area playwriting competitions for his short plays KILLING TIME, ENCORE, COMMITTED, and DETOUR. Other original plays that have been produced locally include ESPIONAGE, DISLOYALTY, AND SOCIALISM: THE TRIAL OF ROSE PASTOR STOKES, an adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s A LITTLE PRINCESS, and the gore-filled 3 RING TERROR. He has recently appeared in productions of CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, THE LION IN WINTER, and THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, TOSCA, SHADOWLANDS, and others. He has directed productions of BRECHT'S ANTIGONE, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, HAPPY DAYS: A NEW MUSICAL, EDWARD ALBEE'S WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, and dozens of others. |
