Introduction	I'm Tina Tang, a jewelry designer who loves to make stuff with her hands. I'm obsessed with handbags, shoes, and opera (in that order). When I was 7, I made stickers that I sold to my classmates. My first handmade fashion piece was my high school prom dress which was a two piece midriff baring dress that shocked my date's mother. I hail from the suburbs of Maryland from Chinese immigrant parents who wanted me to be a scientist, doctor...something responsible that guaranteed a paycheck. Being the good girl that I was, I did what mom and dad wanted, got a college degree from the University of Chicago, and went to work at Goldman Sachs as an equities trader. I was there for 5 years. 5 years of my life! My soul was shriveling. I left my job and returned to my first instinct and love: making stuff with my hands. That's how Tina Tang Jewelry came to life.
