| Introduction | I am a 41 year old mother of two from a small town in NJ. My Mom, Sharon Kelly Marino, was diagnosed with ALS in November 2006. That is when my world as I knew it would change forever. My Mom kept a journal from mis-diagnosis thru diagnosis and beyond, which I plan to post here. My Mom was a Special Ed teacher for many, many years and had the greatest sense of humor I've ever encountered.Throughout my posts of her journal you will surely be able to recognize it.When she was no longer able to type or communicate verbally, I was the one she chose to finish her journal.
