Introduction Being born into a family of artists, I was always seeing art. With my father's skill in oil paint, my mother's with metal and plaster, and my uncle and grandfather with celluloid and oils, I was always within a world of creative vision. I am told that the internet began its long journey on my birthday, so that seems to be an apt symbol of my life. I grew up in the age of home computers, going from first video game consoles to the simple Vic-20. Next from there we meandered a path through the Commodore 64, the Commodore Amiga and then the ubiquitous Intel machines with Microsoft's Windows. I love to watch animations of all sorts - obscure international labors-of-love to Japanese Anime to Disney's megabudget productions. I quickly realized that the computer was perfect for alleviating the menial duties of animation. Even as far back as the C64, with its program "Movie Maker", one could see the seeds of such programs as Flash, Lightwave and After Effects which we take for granted today.
