Introduction	I was born and raised in Peculiar, Missouri, obtained my nursing degree from Truman State University, and moved to Denver in September 2008. The mountains have called my name from a very young age and I love that I’ve been given the chance to live out my dream of moving to a place where I see God so clearly all around me. Great loves of my life include my God, my family, my friends, and almost everything found outdoors. My work life includes slinging coffee at a local coffee shop and volunteering much of my time with a grassroots organization called Yobel Market. Working with Yobel I have grown into a woman who values empowerment over almost anything else. My passion for empowerment is what led me to become a labor doula. It is my great joy to offer empowerment to the women I support. Empowerment to make decisions that allow for a beautiful and healthy pregnancy, labor and birth experience.
