Making a Difference in Middle School

Introduction	I am a reading and language arts specialist who comes to the profession with a business background. I worked for 4 years as an elementary school intervention specialist before the funding for my position was cut. Last year, after a year of unemployment, I was hired mid-year for a middle school ELD intervention position working with long-term English learners. I also teach literacy methodology classes in the teacher education grad program at a local university.
