| Introduction | It always made me laugh to hear a woman in India called Madam considering the connotation the word has back where I come from. The title Madama is a Kerala designation, given most of the time as a form a respect like Mrs. or Ms., but the literal translation is female white foreigner. There’s a small slap of a reminder in that title that you are not Indian and could never be. So Madama it is…a mystery, gypsy, crystal ball kind of name that looks pretty good when I write it next to Sebastian. Mr. Sebastian, who would never be called Mr. in India, is from Kerala, India. He is a tolerant, happy mate with a smile I want to take to the end of my days. That’s my Sunshine. One Indian born. One American born. Married and living in Chennai, India. The blogs you find here are snippets of people, emotions and situations I’ve known or imagined. At least some of every story is reality based, but I take my liberties to make a story better if I can.
