| Introduction | I was raised in a Christian family with parents who were leaders in a children's Bible ministry called AWANA. Through this ministry I learned that I was a sinner and deserved to go to hell. But, Christ was the perfect sacrifice and if I believed in Christ and asked forgiveness of my sins, I could have a relationship with God and spend eternity in Heaven. One night before bed my brother taught me the rhyme, "If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take." While repeating this rhyme, I realized that if I died before waking, I would go to hell. I prayed and asked God to forgive me of my sins, believing that He is the one true God. At that moment I felt a great weight lift off of me and a deep peace filled my heart. I have not always pleased God with my life, but I strive to. He bought my life and deserves to do with it what He will. My life verse is II Corinthians 5:15, "And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again." |
