Introduction Just your normal everyday insane gentleman with a passion for the macabre and for that wonderful day, Hallowe'en. It is often asked of me, why do I go all out on Hallowe'en? I have great memories of Hallowe'en as a child, it was a time of magic, of make believe, of family time. Each year we would run from house to house trick or treating in the very neighborhood that I live in right now. It was dark, spooky, safe. It was the days of boxed Collegeville and Ben Cooper costumes from McCroy Village and TG&Y. Hallowe'en meant paper skeletons on front doors and candlelit pumpkins on porches, elementary school Hallowe'en carnivals and knocking on stranger's doors to get candy that didn't have to be carefully inspected for tampering. My Hallowe'en memories are a wonderful concoction of scents of fall leaves, a whiff of a jack o' lantern lid burned by the candle inside, crisp fall air and the tastes of candy corn, caramel apples and cider. I want to preserve and share Hallowe'en, to resurrect this wonderful innocent holiday that I grew up with for kids today.
