| Introduction | Full-time caregiver to my disabled OIF veteran husband who suffers from severe combat PTSD and TBI. I am passionate about spreading the word on the struggles both spouses and veterans face when dealing with these complex "Invisible Wounds" of war. I was recently a guest on the PTSD panel at the 2010 GI Film Festival in Washington DC hosted by Bob Woodruff. Amongst the other panelists were Brigadier General Lauree Sutton (the US Army's top Psychiatrist), Glenn Close, and Gloria Gilbert-Stoga (Puppies Behind Bars founder). I hope to be able to make a presentation to the Olympia Chapter of the MOAA if it can be arranged in the not too distant future. |
