| Introduction | The Comenius multilateral project "Media and Teenagers European Citizenship" aims at highlighting the importance of Education nowadays in the United Europe. It is a type of Education which differs a great deal from the past and that promotes the use of multimedia activities, the use of internet facilities and e.learning. All this favours a quick communication between schools that are geographically distant but in close contact from the point of view of cooperation. In the course of the two years’ time attention should be focused on the promotion of an intercultural education in order to combat racism/xenophobia, by carrying out common activities, of different types, which are intended to develop some of the key competences for lifelong learning: Communication in the mother tongue; Communication in foreign languages, Digital competence, Social and civic competences, Cultural awareness and expression. |
