| Introduction | On December 3, 2010, we brought home two children from Ukraine. All we were told was that Victor had spina bifida, and Sosie had Down syndrome. We endured many months of attachment disorders and problems with Victor, who ended up having fetal alcohol syndrome, drug exposure, and RAD. He is in a new home as the youngest child, and he is doing better but will never be a typical child or be able to live independently as his mental needs are too great. We are glad to be involved in his life, as we did not disrupt our adoption. I know the struggles, judgment, etc. that comes with a difficult adoption so feel free to reach out to me with questions. On June 14, 2012, we brought home a 9 year-old girl, Eva, and a 9 month old boy, Iain from Ethiopia. Eva was a "waiting child" whose face called to us. We have 24 paws and are crazy dog lovers & rescuers. Join us in our adventures! |
