Introduction	Without knowing the force of words, it is impossible to know men - Confucius. My professional field is Literature, Language and Literacy. I have worked in Australia, China, Middle East and East Timor. I have taught children,high school students, adults, people with disabilities, people in prison, people from disadvantaged communities, people from various backgrounds and status.I have also raised my own children and now I enjoy the grandchildren. One thing I have learned is that the written word forms an intrinsic part of who we are; what we think, what we know and what we want to know regardless of our situation in life.
