Introduction	Four years ago I stood outside on the street in front of my New York apartment at 3 in the morning and asked myself this question: "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?" I had just finished another 18-hour day as a paralegal at a corporate law firm and was preparing to go to law school. I was also preparing to get married. But standing alone with nothing but my own honesty to reckon with, the answer to that question fought its way to the surface: Live in Europe and write. So I quit my job, broke up with my boyfriend, and found my way to Spain. Here I am now, and here it is: my dream, given life to and allowed to run free, to take me where it will. These are the fruits of my journey.
