| Introduction | Yasser Usman is a journalist by tribe, a television producer by creed and a film critic by caste. An on-screen anchor and an off-screen script writer; he has bagged the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism in the Film & Television (Broadcast) category. He has also been a recipient of the NT (News Television) Awards three years in a row. A Masters in environmental science, he remembers more films & songs than classroom theories. He has worked for over a decade in leading News television like BAG films, Channel7 (IBN7) and currently in ABP News (formerly Star News). He has also directed a documentary series on Sufism and has been a founder member of India’s first Iranian Film Club. He is also a bilingual columnist for Dearcinema.com and News Today.
