| Introduction | Our main goal for the wildlife we care for is to repair their bodies, keeping their spirits as wild as we can, releasing them into their wild world again. Wildlife that is permanently disabled live here for life, and they become the teachers that only they can be – to educate humans about their kind. Their very presence here is one of the surest ways of teaching why they need to be left in the wild, not picked up and taken home as pets. Our goal for the exotics and the farm animals we care for is making the best choice for them that we can. If a family that will give him/her a long wonderful happy life, can adopt a farm animal, then we find that for them. If their specific best is to remain here, where love and care help them to feel happiness and freedom from fear, then here is where they stay. Humans are the gods when it comes to whether or not an animal lives or dies. It is our mission to make sure as many as possible live the lives they were meant to live. |
