| Introduction | I have flitted back and forth between the art world and the "real" world for many years now. After receiving my BFA degree in graphic design and illustration, I worked for several years in the art world. Then I burned out. Big time. I found I liked the world without art. I milked cows, I rode and trained horses, taught, I worked in the insurance field and eventually found myself settled with a husband and a child. Then - a mysterious thing happened - I found that I missed art. Big time. So I began again. I am now using my art background and happily creating my art - this time embracing the tactile, sensual nature of fiber- fabric, thread, paint, dyes, embellishments. All the wonder and excitement that art promises is once more back in my life. |
