| Introduction | I was born in Utah and grew up all over the Midwest. By the age of 24 I had lived in 23 different places. I was in athletics all through my youth and lettered in three different sports. On Letter of Intent signing day in 1973 I signed with the University of Utah for a full-ride football scholarship. I started at right offensive guard on the Freshmen Football team. A new head coach brought me to a decision to quit football and sadly school later. I went to work for my father at F-B Truck Line and then I started Lester Smith Trucking in Denver. After selling that, I started Great Western Leasing with my father, brother and a friend. Years later I became a part owner in PST Vans and its parent Norton Enterprises a publicly traded corporation on the NASDAQ in which I was the Vice President. I was also the VP of Operations for PST Vans during its massive growth from 1986 through 1988. Today I am the owner of a semi-trailer and storage trailer rental company called Trailer Rental Company. I am married to the world's best wife and have three wonderful children. I am very active in my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (The Mormons). |
