About me

Introduction	Hey, I'm Jamie. I was diagnosed with Cushing's in 2003 from a pituitary microadenoma and had my first surgery in November 2003. I had remission until 2006. I had another surgery to remove 1/2 of my pituitary in November 2006 but without remission this time. I sought other opinions at NIH and Mass General...trying really hard to get out of Radiation. I think it was the "head gear" that really turned me off to the idea. Everyone, everywhere said radiation was the next step. In June of 2007, I had one "one shot" radiation, sterotactic surgery. After several months remission achieved!!! HOORAY!! (the head gear for a day was well worth it for finally getting better instead of worse with each passing day).
