Introduction | Marti Johnston, MFA, Mills College, Oakland, CA 1992; Certification of Completion Annual Training Program Authentic Movement Institute 1993, 1994, 1995; 200 Level Teaching Certificate, Nosara Institute, Nosara, Costa Rica 2005. My relationship with the divine began almost 35 years ago slipping immediately into the body temple as dancer, a Bhakta. Academic degrees, certifications and relentless reading fed my intellect, a Jnanis. The pathway has been one of deep excavation, exploring the possibilities of heart, mind and soul. Through my body’s inherent wisdom the physicality of dance making, dance therapy and debilitating injuries finally called me to the mat and a Hatha practice in 2004. |
