| Introduction | I was born on March 30, 1984 and have lived in Barberton, Ohio my entire life. I graduated from Barberton High School in 2003 and from the University of Akron with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education (Grades 7-12) in December 2008. I returned to college in the Fall 2011 semester, majoring in broadcast journalism. In 2013, I changed my major to applied communication and I earned my second bachelor's degree in August 2014. I have worked at Acme #14 since June 2001. My responsibilities include ordering and stocking the store's candy (register and bulk), helping maintain other candy (aisle and front seasonal), in addition to working as a cashier and fuel center attendant. In the past, I worked as the natural & organic specialist (order and stock), packer (retrieving carts, customer carry outs, building maintenance), produce, dairy, frozen, grocery stock, self-checkout monitor, price changes, pharmacy cashier, and deliveries. I was previously employed as a free-lance writer for the Suburbanite and Barberton Herald, in addition to having worked for the US Census Bureau as an enumerator for six weeks in 2010. |
| Interests | I enjoy watching sports. My favorite teams are the Ohio State Buckeyes (football), Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Green Bay Packers. My favorite current athlete are LeBron James and Aaron Rodgers. I pretty much enjoy anything related to social studies. I love current event stories (especially crazy ones), history, politics, maps, and geneology. I also like listening to music, participating in recreational activities, working outside, and looking at structural scenery (anything from buildings to forms of transportation). I've done significant research on four family trees, based off of each set of my great-grandparents. I have also read a lot about the history of US presidents and sports. My parents never cared to travel much, but I would like to start traveling more. Right now I need to save some money, so I'm going to start w/ some short trips. I enjoy interacting with my family and friends, whether it be in person or online. |

| Favorite Books | I don't have the attention span to read long worded books, so I usually either read the newspaper (Akron Beacon Journal or Barberton Herald) or pictorial books about sports, maps, and history/politics. I usually read ESPN the Magazine to kill time when I work at the Acme Fuel Center. |
