| Introduction | I guess we all had to invent extra diversions to get through the pandemic, especially old farts like me - retired and recently widowed. You can only do so many jigsaws and crosswords. So, in October 2020 I came up with the idea of visiting every property on the London Monopoly Board and sharing my experiences (by email) with my many friends and relatives around the world. It was only in January 2023 - with just Mayfair to finish - I decided to pull everything together on this blog. As Samuel Johnson said: "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." And so it has proved to be - and helped keep me sane. Well, that would have been my defence had I been apprehended when only 'essential' travel was allowed. Mick Goodenough |
