| Introduction | Hi, I am the mother of three children and two step children. I am Nana to nine grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. I began writing as a child. Encouraged to continue writing by my English teachers, I studied writing in college and began creating greeting cards, poetry, and children’s stories. I currently make my home in Redlands, California with my husband Rick Varner. All five of our children are grown and live in California, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oregon and Idaho. These days I enjoy visiting schools and attending community events to promote reading and writing to elementary students everywhere through my personally designed program entitled, Imagination/Creation! I published my first book, The Magical Journey in 2007. I have since published two books in my Christmas series about my beloved character Pages the elf. I am currently working on several new stories and will release more books for different age groups soon.
