Introduction This is a blog about my journey to become fitter and healthier and the ups and downs of my journey. I always remember being overweight and unfit and whilst I have tried losing weight and getting fitter, this has generally only lasted for short periods, perhaps due to being too restrictive or too ambitious, perhaps due to it being the wrong time or perhaps due to seeing it as a diet instead of a change of lifestyle. At my heaviest I was 13.7 stone and am now down to 12.1 stone since Aug 2010. I hope to get down to around 10 stone and stay there. I also want to improve my fitness generally and be consistent with exercise to be able to start seeing the benefits of it. I enjoy various exercises: the gym, exercise DVD's, walking, surfing, netball, running/jogging.
