IntroductionI’m a retired educator, most recently serving as Superintendent of Crisp County Schools in Cordele, GA. I’ve spent the better part of my career on the curriculum side of the house and absolutely love teaching and learning with children and adults. As I enter this age and stage of life called “retirement” I’m rediscovering my passions and interests. My husband and I have one daughter and two precious grandchildren. I have a PhD in Educational Policy Studies from Georgia State University, a Master's in Reading and a B.S. Early Childhood Education from GA Southwestern and State University. Additionally I trained at GA State University as a Reading Recovery teacher and trained at Lesley University as a Primary and Intermediate District Literacy Trainer. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and have over 30 years of experience ranging from being a classroom teacher to school based and district level literacy coach, curriculum director, assistant superintendent, and finally superintendent of schools. I am currently a part time teacher at GA Southwestern and State University and a private consultant.
InterestsI'm a lover of books, reading, writing, gardening, and spending time with my family and friends.
