Introduction	I'm a woman in my 40s. I'm a wife, mom, and a lawyer - for now. In my 30's I struggled to carry pregnancies to term, ultimately losing 5. In my late 30s, I managed to have a son, who had numerous congenital issues called Vacterl association. After 14 surgeries before he was 3, I thought we were done having children. Which is when I became pregnant with my second son, and miraculously, somehow, carried him to term two years ago. Both boys are mostly healthy, and I am now in the midst of a career transition, or mid-life crisis, depending on the day.
