| Introduction | I organize. I travel. I write. I coach. I connect people across borders and boundaries, issues, social networks. As a long-time labor and community organizer, I deliberately sought critical swing-districts -- whether the New York and New Jersey suburbs or the Blue Dog South -- contested areas that disproportionately shape how power works on the State and National levels. Now I'm grappling with the intersection of on-line and on-the-ground organizing, something none of us have figured out yet, at least not from what I've experienced. Most of all, I love helping my friends connect with each other, and with people and opportunities they never imagined. |
