| Introduction | Thom Ives was born (9/24/61) and raised in Dallas, Texas. He began following Christ in November, 1978. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1980. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the UT, Austin (84) and Texas A&M University (95, 97). He married Nola “Sue” Nichols, a social worker and Idaho native, on March 19th, 1988. Thom and Sue had four biological children from 7/93 through 12/99. In 2004, Thom and Sue became independently convinced that they should adopt. Since then, they have adopted 5 children from China, Inner Mongolia, China, and Liberia Africa. Raising 5 kids in addition to their 4 biological kids is best described as “a challenging blessing.” Thom works for HP and is working toward becoming a businessman in many areas. |
