| Introduction | Leah is based in Hastings, Prince Edward and Northumberland Counties. She started her photography career in her teens. After two and a half years in Europe her family returned to Canada and she finished school, married, and joined the military. In 1979 Leah acquired her first SLR camera and a moonlighting job on the local paper. This came with informal instruction from professional photographers, developing, and supplies of black & white film. Around then Leah also did her first wedding shoot, which convinced her that spiders and snakes were less frightening than bridal parties. In the ‘80’s when desktop computers arrived, Leah was immersed in technical support and programming. Internet development quickly followed and the design elements revived her interest in visual arts. Courses at Humber College in graphic arts, internet development and design, and digital imaging took her through the ‘90's. The digital imaging inspired re-entry into the world of photography. Leah now specializes in product, industrial/agricultural and livestock photography for print and web, and photo/documentation restoration and recovery. |
