| Introduction | is a documentary photographer who also happens to be — mirabile dictu — "a passionate, emotional writer" (Jeffrey Reed). And there's more! Every now and again, she comes up for air to welcome you, hoping you'll stay awhile. C'mon back now, y'hear! |
| Interests | building portfolios of documentary photography, honing writing skills, traveling off the beaten track, reading history and politics of given eras and areas (currently Eastern Europe during WW2), solidifying productive friendships. |
| Favorite movies | Any well-executed package, where good stories weave with smart screenwriting, expert acting, and creative vantage points. Enjoys works from the Spanish and Argentine cinemas, especially political docu-dramas. |
| Favorite music | A broad gamut, mostly classical, a favourite composer being J.S. Bach and family. But really, any melody with a good base line works for me. |
| Favorite books | Not much of a fiction reader, but did enjoy "A Fine Balance" by Rohynton Mistry, and several works by J.M. Coetzee. Non-fiction: travelogues by the Rough Guide; atlases; photography how-to's and polemics on the Second World War. |
