| Introduction | I am a quilting, machine embroidery, and computer artist. My background as a professional artist has been in digital arts and commercial graphics, so my fiber arts are often planned and patterned on the computer first. Machine embroidery become a favorite artistic expression when I discovered how completely I can “paint” with thread in the computer, and translate that to stitching on my machine using digitizing software. WOW, what fun. Even my machine quilting is sometimes drafted on the computer (after designing in pencil) to create a clean marking pattern. |
