IntroductionI have worn many different hats in my career, but they all seem to focus on providing faculty and students with the opportunities and support needed to excel in the teaching and learning process. An experienced educator, faculty developer, and e-learning professional who combines game-based learning principles with constructivist/cognitive learning theories for effective e-learning development, I have over 20 years of experience (K-20) teaching and developing face-to-face, web-enhanced, and online courses, workshops, and webinars. I am a people-person who is committed to customer service and thrives on being able to build partnerships and collaborate with others. I am constantly on the lookout for how I can effectively utilize emerging technologies both in my professional life and in the classroom. I am a global thinker, yet I have developed the ability to attend to details. I have a proven track record of working effectively with a variety of stakeholders, finding innovative ways to solve problems, meeting the varied demands of an educational institution, and being flexible enough to address problems while maintaining my workload.

Favorite musicMy husband and kids make fun of me, but I prefer easy listening--especially Celtic music or what has been termed as "New Age." I am also a fan of the Moody Blues and Styx.
Favorite booksI enjoy reading fantasy--especially Marion Zimmer Bradley, Mercedes Lackey, and Anne McCaffrey. I also enjoy reading books about Southern women and mystery novels. My Master's thesis was on Toni Morrison's The Bluest Eye and Beloved.
