IntroductionRight now, I'm very focused on my Dutch ancestors, the Vanden Eynden's, who immigrated from Sint-Oedenrode, Noord-Brabant, NL to Cincinnati, Ohio between 1866-1869. I'm excited to say I'm actually researching on the Netherlands side now!
InterestsGEN (You could say I'm obsessed), writing, reading a good book, x-stitch, learning calligraphy, photography & photo editing.
Favorite moviesPirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Pride & Prejudice (the one with Kiera Knightly), It's A Wonderful Life, The Ghost & Mrs Muir, When Harry Met Sally, Big, & Sixth Sense-for that amazing ending!
Favorite musicSouthern Rock-the Eagles, CCR, early Van-Halen, early Aerosmith, Journey, Rush, Boston, Bad Company, & Def Leppard. Then the polar opposite: Classical, esp. Violin played by the amazing Hilary Hahn.
Favorite booksFICTION: Authors like Lynn Kurland or Eugenia Price (my Mom grew up in St Simons Island, GA), Historical Romance, Pride and Prejudice, To Kill a Mockingbird, Jane Eyre, All Quiet on the Western Front, and The Book-Thief. NON-FICTION: I love "how-to" books"- GEN reference, photography, (whatever I'm working on at the moment!), history reference. Right now I'm reading "Uncovering Your Ancestry Through Family Photographs" by Maureen A. Taylor-she is amazing, as is this book!

Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.

When I was young-until 7th grade-I lived up north, where scarves were necessary to keeping your neck from getting frostbite. Now I live in the south, where scarves are a fashion statement. I'm a practical person-if there's snow on the ground and the temp is in the teens or below I'll wear a scarf. Otherwise, forget it. No matter how cute it looks.
