| Introduction | Husband Phil and I moved here to Ajijic, forty miles south of Guadalajara,a little over a year ago. Ajijic is a village on the shore of Lake Chapala, the biggest lake in Mexico. It is one of a string of towns, villages, and small cities that ring the lake.
Along with the immediately surrounding towns, Ajijic is home to the biggest population of ex-pats (people from other countries) in Mexico. The title of this blog, "Vive Feliz", means "Live Happily" in Spanish. It does seem to be the life theme for most of the Mexican people we've met. Despite the many problems facing them, they seem to be very good at finding ways to enjoy life. And the attitude is contagious! If you follow this blog you'll see what I mean... |
