Introduction I would like to say this is officially a business, but as it stands, the Beech Tree is still very conceptual. You may find it occassionally at the Toronto Underground Food Market. But for the time being, this is a website dedicated to food writing, local food advocacy and recipe development. The Beech Tree Kitchen represents a creative and emprical approach to cooking. English food, and specifically pub food plays an important role here, but cooking from France, Italy and all over the world are covered. During the week I stick with lighter, healthier meals and on weekends I experiment with some of the old favourites. Most dishes are assembled within a narrow window of time between arriving home from work and my children's bedtime - no small task.
