About me

Location Leeds
Introduction I ran one of the original Race for Life 5k about 20years ago but I never ran any further than this and due to the birth of my children I didn't run again till 2005 when I did the Abbey Dash 10k in 1hr 20mins as I finished i could hardly stand never mind walk. I turned 40 in 2006 and entered the Great North Run although I couldn't run 1mile around the block. I joined VARR which kept me going and I completed GNR in 2hrs 22mins. Thanks to VARR, I have kept running and racing. 2007 I completed 99 miles of races including Dublin Marathon. 2008 I took part in at least one race each month. My favourite moment was completing the Abbey Dash in under an hour! 2009 I achieved my PB goals for 5K, 10k, Half Marathon and Marathon (Edinburgh) distances and my final goal of the year, to run all the way up the hill at the start of the Chevin Chase! For 2010 I haven’t thought past the Virgin London Marathon on 25th April. At this point I’m not so concerned with my time but with arriving on the start line prepared the best I possibly can be!
Interests Running

What is my long term goal? Well my ultimate goal is to take part in a Marathon when I'm 90 years young!
