| Introduction | Probably independent to a fault! I see almost everything in life through the lens of humor--whether that humor be outright funny or sarcastic or irreverent (it usually is irreverent--skewering sacred cows is a favorite), but something funny or odd or ironic will strike me about almost any situation. |

| Favorite Movies | Almost anything that tells a good story well. But minimal on horror, vampire, and slasher flicks. A few of my favorites, but not exhaustive: Many movies from the 1930's and 1940's. Dances With Wolves, Pay It Forward, Rain Man, It's a Wonderful Life, Forrest Gump, The Pursuit of Happyness, many foreign films and beautiful martial arts films (Curse of the Golden Flowers, House of the Flying Daggers)....movies that ultimately uplift the human spirit. And well-done "men" movies, like Terminator 2, Shoot 'Em Up, etc. ANd anything to do with WWII, documentaries or otherwise. |
| Favorite Music | John Prine, Matthew Ward, Bob Dylan, Tulku, Chris Smither, Loop Guru, C, S, N&Y. Mostly off-the-beaten-track musicians. Folk-rock, percussive International music, a little this, a little that. Anything that moves me emotionally or physically. |
| Favorite Books | Juicy novels, Historical biographies or accounts, political tomes, anything well-written. |
