| Introduction | Melodic Arsenal is an anagram of my name, Danielle Marcos, that my clever husband, Justin, came up with. I'm writer and yoga student living Toronto. I currently support myself by doing a PhD in Botany at the U of Toronto. All the work found here is dedicated to my beloved teachers: Swamiji, Prahlada , my parents, Swami Sivananda, Amma, Rumi, and Hazrat Inayat Khan. I also owe a great debt to those who have shaped my ear, heart and tongue: Mirabai, Walt Whitman, Charles Bukowski, Leonard Cohen, John Coltrane, Dylan Thomas, Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed, Gary Snyder, Bjork, Lew Welch, Neil Young, Hermeto Pascoal, Patti Smith, Devendra Banhart and Bob Dylan, and innumerable other musicians and writers: without their music, I would be silent.
