| Introduction | Laura Wenande (Osterloo) Photography is about creating artistic images that capture pure emotion and spontaneity, and at the same time; discerning a sense of planning and direction. Implied lines through the use of exaggerated light, giving a sense of secrecy and interest, characterize my work. A portrait portrays the individual in it, and at the same time, has the ability to reveal a little about the photographer through its style, theme, and overall energy. I try to do so by incorporating fun, bold colors and at other times, revealing the beauty of bold, contrasting, black and white images that sometimes are overlooked by those seeking something ultramodern. I love what I do. Photography has become a part of who I am and also who I plan to be. Photography will remain a large part of my life and will continue to be the driving force in my artistic vocation. |
