| Introduction | As a 1956 graduate of Colgate from which I also obtained a master's degree, I developed an interest in watercolor painting upon retirement from the faculty of the State University of New York at Brockport in 1996. This interest was greatly encouraged by my daughter Janet, also a Colgate graduate, who sent me the painting materials needed to take up this fascinating leisure pursuit at the time of my retirement. |
| Interests | As a Colgate University alumnus my primary interest is in painting scenes and activities related to the university and surrounding area. Other subjects for painting are related to my travels in France and Germany, the surrounding upstate New York landscape and lately, the nearby Amish community. |
