Introduction	About Autumnal Fuck: In February 2009, I attended a poetry reading. There, a very self-important poet said, with a flick of his bouffant hair, "I will be reading works from a book of autumnal poems, because it is getting very autumnal at present". A fine statement, but I live in New Zealand, and February is the hottest, driest month of the year. Later, when this poet was to chide an audience member for laughing at an awkward (and I believe funny) story in one of his own works, I decided to turn the very fey and whimsical term autumnal into an insult, and "autumnal fuck" was born. It has since taken on two forms - colloquially added to by a friend ("What a grazing, bovine, autumnal fuck)... and this blog. I realise that posting short stories and whimsical imagery is about as pretentious as the windswept poet, so I'm happy to wear the tag of "pretentious person, ostentatious jerk". I'm all about self-deprecation. About Me: I'm a journalist by day and a backsliding writer by night. Autumnal Fuck is set to be a place for me to post short stories, inspiration and other bizarre and self-indulgent vignettes.
Interests	Looking at the clock at 11.11, buying inordinate amounts of vintage clothing, cleaning, roller derby, cynicism, over-analysing, being overt, long talks on the beach, meeting you for a drink later.
Favorite movies	Rear Window, Dancer in the Dark, Cronenberg's Crash, A Clockwork Orange, City of God and The Shining. And a whole host of no doubt cliched, esoteric, circle-jerking crap.
Favorite music	Ryan Adams, Mr. Bungle, Hanson, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Bright Eyes, Andrew Bird, The Magnolia Electric Co., Fall Out Boy, The Dresden Dolls, TV on the Radio, The Shins, The Flaming Lips, Regina Spektor, The Decemberists, The Go! Team, Only Son, The National, Sam Flynn Scott, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Nick Drake, Wham!, Vampire Weekend, Midlake, LCD Soundsystem, Band of Horses, The Beatles, Late of the Pier, heinous 80s, nostalgic 90s, and anything Mike Patton breathes on.
