| Introduction | I have been into astronomy since 1973, photography since 1975 and have used an armada of telescopes and cameras over the years. Today, I am using a Takahashi FSQ106ED, a cheap but spectacularly good Celestron 5 XLT (on a Celestron VX mount) and Celestron 8 and 14 Edge HD schmidt-cassegrains. I have owned Meade, many Celestrons (the C9.25 is and will always remain my favorite allround telescope), Astro-Physics, TMB, WO, Intes Micro, Teleskop Service, Orion Optics, Takahashi Espilon and Mewlon, Parallax, in all sorts of optical designs. Done some DIY scopes too: one was a planetary 8 inch f8 dobson, another an 18 inch truss tube dobson, featuring Galaxy Optics mirrors. |
