| Introduction | "The heart of the home is the kitchen" my Grandparents used to say, and I believed them. It was in their home that I first learned the principles of sour dough baking. While my grandfather was the baker, my grandmother was the cook. I learned preserving techniques from her, and great cooking tips. Nearly a half century later I have combined lessons from the past with my own culinary creativeness. My style of cooking and baking is to take ordinary foods and make them extra-ordinary. | Interests | I love to travel, read good books, write on my blogs (and sometimes for publication), visit friends, spend hours at the bookstore, snowshoe in winter, swim and boat in the summertime. Most of all I love spending time with my family (husband, kids and extended). |
