| Introduction | Fact 1 - I have been around for a lot longer than you can imagine: for nearly a thousand years, which in anyone's book is quite a while. Fact 2 - It makes my blood boil that my old nemesis, Dracula, is more well known than me - it is despicable - have you seen how he looks nowadays? Fact 3 - I reside in a fortress high upon the Karkonose Mountains (between the Czech Republic and Poland) with my beloved wife, Princess Rubena. Fact 4 - I have been known by many names throughout the ages: Rübezahl, Lord John, Lord of the Mountains, and one or two labels too fearful to mention. You may call me Mountain Lord if you really must converse with me. Golden Rule 1 - NEVER mention turnips please. The very thought of those dreadful things is already making me extremely cross.
